Car and Driver's sources are indicating Audi is preparing a massive overhaul of its design language.
Audi announced in November 2012 to work on a different design strategy concentrating on "something new without braking tradition." Now, C&D says Audi's chief designer Wolfgang Egger is restructuring the company's design studio in Ingolstadt.
They are hiring designers from Alfa Romeo and Seat, while ex Bentley chief designer Dirk van Braeckel is now in charge of the firm's motorsport and original equipment. Egger declared during the New York Auto Show last month Audi's "scalable design" approach has come to an end.
