Underneath its hood, the TT RS features a turbocharged 2.5-liter engine with FSI direct gasoline injection.
Developing 340 hp, it proudly continues the Audi’s history of five-cylinder engines.
TFSI turbocharging technology makes it possible to to develop a lot of torque, 450 Nm from a compact power plant.
Peak torque is available from just 1600rpm all the way up to 5300rpm.
This incredibly wide torque range mean that it doesn’t really matter which gear is on.
RS is always ready to accelerate.
RS Coupe rockets from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds.
Top Speed is 250 km/h, but upon request quattro GmbH will raise the top speed to 280 km/h.
Dry-sump lubrication is an essential part of the TT RS’s engine.
It allows the turbocharged engine to cope with extreme cornering forces without being starved of oil.
Which means it’ll perform perfectly under lateral loads of up to 1.2 g.
Thanks to its low weight of 1450 kilograms, the power-to-weight ratio of the TT RS Coupe is just 4,3 kilograms per hp.

TT RS comes with a short-shift manual transmission as standard.
Manual gearbox gives this car even more driver oriented feeling.
Power is delivered on the road through the quattro drivetrain.
At its heart is the Haldex clutch, an electronically controlled, hydraulic multi-plate clutch that controls the flow of power between the engine and the gearbox.
If a situation calls for it, the clutch redirects a majority of the torque input from the front wheels to the rear wheels.
And it does so in a fraction of a second.
The quattro drivetrain has been upgraded for the TT RS allowing, if necessary, 100% of the power to be guided to the front or rear wheels.
This enables you to make the most of the car’s incredible torque by, for instance, pulling out of bends even sooner.
As well as offering outstanding traction and superb stability, the upgraded quattro drivetrain also helps reduce fuel consumption.
This is because when you are waiting at traffic lights, for example, the electronics reduce the tendency to creep forward by decoupling the engine and gearbox.
RS has the average fuel consumption of just 9.2 liters per 100 kilometer, when driven nicely.

Inside the 18″ wheels there are big brakes to keep the speed in control.
The internally ventilated disc brakes measure 370 millimeters in diameter in the front and 310 millimeters in the rear.
Black four-piston brake calipers with RS logos keep the friction rings in place.
The electronic stabilization program (ESP) has a sport mode and can also be switched off partially or entirely.
The sport suspension in the RS lowers the vehicle by 10 millimeters.
Adaptive shock-absorber technology, called Audi magnetic ride, is available optionally.

Not just by its performance, but TT RS can be easily recognised even when it is standing still.
Biggest attraction is of course the fixed rear spoiler, which maximises downforce and ensures optimum aerodynamics. However, if you wish, and you want be boring, you can replace the fixed rear spoiler with a more discreet version which raises and retracts automatically.
At the rear there are also broad diffuser that holds two large, oval, chrome-finished tailpipes, one on the left and one on the right.
And if you have opt for a sports exhaust, then the tailpipes are finished in matt black providing even sportier soundtrack. Aluminium door mirrors, featuring LED side-turn indicators, are also part of TT RS’s styling and are bespoke to S and RS models.
At front we have enlarged air intakes and unique honeycomb grille with TT RS logo.

Inside the car everything is set to be driver-oriented.
The cabin is finished exclusively in black or silver, with brushed aluminium inlays and aluminium footrests.
As standard the TT RS comes with contoured and heated sports seats which provide excellent lateral support and are upholstered in Silk Nappa leather complete with contrasting stitching.
But if you wish for even more sportier feel, then you should can choose TT RS bucket seats, which are available as an option. These come in Fine Nappa leather with contrasting stitching in silver and with the discreet TT RS logo.
As well as the sports seats, also other areas of the cabin, like centre console, armrest and handbrake have been upholstered in leather.
The final touch is the multi-function, 3-spoke, flat bottomed leather steering wheel with TT RS badge.
